We want you to learn about your body in order to feel empowered to understand the proper steps needed to heal, move and reduce your pain.


DAY 1

We will be going over the basic anatomical structures of the knee to understand how the mechanics work that can impact weaknesses or activations that effect the knee. We will be identifying how an MRI image relates to your pain based on the current research. Furthermore, we will be covering various knee pain diagnoses to provide an in depth review on the different reasons you may be experiencing knee pain.


DAY 2

We will be reviewing the tissues of the knee, such as the tendons, ligaments, cartilage, menisci, bursa, and more. Through this review, we will identify the current research on true tendon repair in order to help understand how to heal from tendon damage. Lastly, we provide you with the new rule that replaces the old "R.IC.E." rule to optimize and promote healing.


DAY 3

Is your knee joint really that delicate? We'll identify the loads necessary to create safety and stability in the knee joint, even with a diagnosis such as osteoarthritis. You'll receive a clear understanding of what osteoarthritis is and how to effectively treat it. We'll also review how fluids can promote inflammation and irritation.


DAY 4

Did you know your hip can have an effect on what you feel at your knee? We'll be reviewing basic hip anatomy to highlight how different hip socket alignments can produce different forces on the knee joint. Then, we'll discuss how you can improve your hip mobility in order to help reduce pressure on your knee.


DAY 5

On the final day, we'll identify how to safely progress loading the knee without increasing pain. We'll end with a final note on what exacerbates pain signals in the knee and how other factors outside of movement, ice, or modalities are extremely important in reducing pain symptoms.
